Well established commercial real estate company seeks an Administrative Project Manager.

The position is 100% in the office.  The environment is congenial and has long tenured employees. 

You will provide support to the chairman and owner of the company handling a wide variety of tasks from the most basic to very complex situational matters that require a very detailed mind with an abundance of logic and an entrepreneurial thought process. Some examples of responsibilities are as follows: 

  • Drafting correspondence on behalf of the Chairman 
  • File management 
  • Contract management 
  • Property management 
  • Small maintenance/repair/renovation management 
  • Other duties as assigned 

This position will require the team member to manage both inhouse and third-party resources to accomplish the goal as required by the Chairman. 

The ideal candidate will have familiarity with a variety of business practices and procedures such as building and property management, real estate acquisitions, legal correspondence, and budgeting. Other requirements are as follows: 

  • Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in project management or supporting an executive in a similar role 
  • Hands on work style with ownership mentality 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Attention to detail and ability to think through all scenarios 
  • Organized and thrives in a structured environment

Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience 


Patent Administrative Assistant – learn patent law   BJA790

Location:  Alexandria, VA

Do you have a 4 year degree and some patent law firm work experience?

Extremely exciting opportunity exists for you to join a large law firm.  The law firm needs an administrative assistant to learn to become a patent processing assistant.  You will be given the opportunity to learn about patent and trademark law.

In this position, you will specialize in one aspect of the patent prosecution process.  You will be responsible for reviewing files to make sure all outstanding issues have been addressed.  Duties also include preparing correspondence and form letters to clients, preparing documents for filing with the Patent & Trademark Office, Photocopying and retrieving files from Attorneys and IP Specialists.

Qualified candidates will have 6 months prior patent processing experience working in a law firm or a 4-yr degree with some legal experience, proficiency in MS Word; excellent spelling skills; 40 wpm typing; attention to detail; ability to work both independently and in a team; ability to work accurately under deadlines; and flexibility for overtime.
