Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Manager will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the firm-wide IP (Patent and Trademark) Prosecution support functions, including Docketing and Foreign Filing; assisting with practice and procedure development and preparing and implementing programs and forms for the IP practice; developing and overseeing staff training; maintaining day-to-day operations; completing complex and specialized support for attorneys related to domestic and international IP patent prosecution; managing the case intake process; overseeing the IP records file room; and other duties as assigned.
Qualified candidates will have:
- An extensive knowledge and understanding of the patent procurement process, including the necessary tools and resources to perform the required functions of those staff supporting the IP practice.
- Detailed knowledge of the patent procurement procedures before the USPTO.
- Knowledge of trademark prosecution procedures.
- Thorough knowledge of an IP docketing system.

One of the world’s top 100 law firms is seeking a Litigation Practice Group Marketing Manager.
Job Description: principal marketing manager for umbrella and international arbitration, white collar, employment, appellate, e-discovery, securities and trial litigation practice groups. Works closely with Group Leadership and with other marketing staff members to develop and execute effective marketing, client development and external communications programs.
Duties & responsibilities include:
Planning: consult with practice group leaders and the CMO and Director of Client Development on development and coordination of marketing and client development plans for the group, sub groups and individuals. The marketing manager will help assure that the plans closely relate to the business goals for the groups and firm, have clearly stated goals and milestones and the manager will regularly monitor the plans for progress.
Client Development: manage and coordinate practice group responses to RFPs. Track win/loss record. Prepare specific client pitch materials for practice groups. Develop and maintain segmented client and prospect mailing lists. Manage and track practice group project client and prospect mail and email efforts. Work with the Director of Relationship Management on maintaining and expanding relationships with targeted clients. Develop “Prime Targets” prospect list and plan for developing key prospects in to clients.
Marketing: maintain database/clearinghouse/catalog of practice experience (i.e., representative client lists and matters/deal lists). Draft, coordinate editing and submit relevant survey and ranking submissions. Assist with the editing, layout and production of firm and practice group marketing materials. Manage website content, client memorandums, client events, newsletters, brochures and other external communication pieces.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in marketing/communications or related field. MBA a plus. Minimum of five years experience in professional services marketing. Demonstrated background of accomplishment in marketing. Previous law firm experience is highly desirable. Excellent interpersonal skills and written and oral communications skills. Facility with technology and software for marketing the practice group (i.e., Word, PowerPoint and Excel. InterAction, and Adobe a plus.)
